Professor Satyabrata Rout is known for pioneering “Visual Theatre” in India. He has specialised on Scenography and Direction from various institutions across the globe including NSD, New Delhi. Prof. Rout has done Ph. D and D. Litt on ‘New Direction Theories’, and has been honoured with several international recognitions including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardand Oxford Artbook Award, etc. An outstanding academics, he has written plays and academic books that include “Scenography: An Indian Perspective” and Tumhara Vincent, etc.
