
Hassanal Abdullah is a Bangladeshi-American poet, translator, lyricist, and critic. He is the recipient of Ianicious International Prize of Klemens Janicki (2021) from Poland, the Homer European Medal of Poetry and Art (2016), and a translation grant from the Queens Council of the Arts (2019), New York. His work has been translated into more than ten languages. A sonnet form innovator and the author of 51 books in different genres including an epic, Abdullah is the editor of Shabdaguchha, an International Bilingual Poetry Magazine, since 1998. He is a NYC High School Math Teacher.
