Dash Benhur is a well-known writer in Odia who has more than a hundred and fifty books to his credit including collections of short stories, poems, novels, essays, travelogues and features. Several of his Odia works have been translated into English, Hindi and Bengali. He is the recipient of Odisha Sahitya Academy award, the Odisha Vigyan Academy award, NCERT Prize for children’s Literature and the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Puraskar.
