Sam Powney writes poetry, verse, and occasional short stories, all strictly for fun. His first collection – Special Characters – brings together poems and other pieces written over twenty years and many locations. Often satirical, his work explores issues and phenomena from Brexit to beg-packing, and from the nature of heaven to Hong Kong’s Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.
